I'm Back!

Well.... I guess I should join in our technology crazed generation, and actually use this fucking thing I once made for a class back in the day. What have I been up to these past three years you might be asking yourself? Well, hold on to your bottoms! First off I graduated from Mass Art (with honors, yea baby!) and then ventured to the wilderness of Vermont, where I worked with the Vermont Puppetree as a puppeteer. As I continue my exploration of found objects, mixed media and spirituality, I use abstracted forms that I find on the street or right outside in nature, yes lots of nature walks with my beloved Chaucho, the pudgy sheltie! I now live in Brighton Ma, too close to Allston Ma, so I've been collecting lots of scrap metal and making friends with the local rats.
But seriuosly, I continue to make art and attempt to be a successful artist one day, as well as puppeteer... yes puppet fans every where! I haven't given up that quirky weirdness that runs through my veins and continue to make such lovable friends as Lamb Chunks and Vagina Jones (more on them to come). I try to blend my love of "fine" art and the whimsy of puppets everyday....
So with that said, I hope to continue my self glamorized promotion and make you all sick of me. So look forward to my next post with lots of pretty pictures of my most recent body of work, until then keep living the dream and hold your breaths in anticipation (not really, I'm new at this it may take some time, do not hold your breathes).

I drift through open-air flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores, and sometimes the junk people leave outside under "for free" signs. Searching for objects and antiques that capture my interest, which hold memories of people, places, and times untold. Drawing inspiration from the nostalgic feelings emanating from the objects, I create altars, shrines, and assemblages for them to be sheltered and cared for in perpetuity. As altars of a religious nature give ordinary objects significance, I strive to do the same for the treasures that I find. Memories, the occult, mysticism, magic, tradition, and dreams are all present in my thoughts on borrowed nostalgia and invented spirituality.
